Itinerary
Our Tour starts at the ground zero of the Royal Road, the Tiradentes Square, from where we will leave to visit part of the city of Ouro Preto. A city that is a National Monument and World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1980. The city connects the Royal Road (Official Roads) of Diamantina to the Coast and former headquarters of the Government of Minas Gerais in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
Feel, breathe, walk the streets and alleys of the city. Taste their flavors, scents and get in touch with their unique crafts, artisans working outdoors, shops for stone handicrafts, jewelry, chocolates and homemade beers made in the city.
We start the day at Tiradentes Square and then an optional visit to the Museum of Inconfidence. We will continue the tour passing by the São Francisco de Assis Church and the Craft Fair in Soap Stone with free time for shopping. Then we will visit the Carmo's Church and we will take an easy walk of 500 meters until the last Church visited, the Basilica Nossa Senhora do Pilar and Chapel of the Senhor do Bonfim. After the visits, you wil have free time for rest. Return to Tiradentes Square at the end of the tour, along the way we will have options of artisan shops, stones, and local tourist items. You will also have option of stopping at Casa dos Contos.
