Our tour begins in the central square of Tiradentes called Largo das Forras. Departure at 08h00 with a light walk (400m) to the first stop that is in the Sant Ana Museum which houses 291 images of Sant'Ana, the holy protector of the homes and the family, as well as the miners, and in the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary. This Church is considered one of the oldest churches in Tiradentes and was built from the beginning of the 18th century. On the way, we will pass through several artisan shops, stones and cafes.
We will have free time for these visits and we will continue the walk with another light walk (300m) to the Fountain of St. Joseph. Considered one of the most beautiful in Minas, the fountain built in 1749 has three fountains and is the only one in the state with oratory and image of saint - São José de Botas, made in the 18th century in terracotta. There will be free time for photos and we will walk (290m) to the Museum of Liturgy, the only museum dedicated to the theme in Latin America. The museum features more than 400 objects of liturgical use and also sacred art, such as paintings, sculptures, objects in metal and wood and clothing, many kept for decades within sacristies and abandoned to time. Today, the collection, dating from the eighteenth to the twentieth century, has been fully restored and preserves the memory of the liturgical life of Tiradentes.
Then we will go to the Church of Santo Antônio considered the Postcard of the city. Located on top of a hill, it offers beautiful views of the city and the São José Hill. Stunning in the middle of the 18th century mansions, it can be seen from various points of the city. The Matrix of Santo Antônio is the only church of Tiradentes that counts on works of Aleijadinho. After getting to know the Church, we will walk to the Father Toledo Museum (180m), with free time to visit the museum considered as one of the greatest architectural treasures and cultural assets of Tiradentes. After this visit, return to Largo das Forras with a light walk of 200m.
