Itinerary

The Gruta do Lago Azul (Blue Lake Grotto) is one of the main postcards of Bonito and certainly one of the most beautiful settings in Brazil. In addition to having an incredible view, the Grotto enchants for its magnitude: it is one of the largest flooded cavities on the planet, and visiting it is a true journey to the origins of the region.

To reach the lake, it is necessary to descend almost 300 steps, the equivalent of a 12-story building. Along the way, you will observe several stalactites and stalagmites (rock formations that take thousands of years to form) until you reach the biggest reward. The lake is crystal clear, and the bluish color that makes it famous is due to a combination of factors, such as the location of the cave and the presence of minerals at its bottom. You will certainly be enchanted by the beauty of this natural phenomenon, in a contemplative and unique tour.
