ITINERARY

Two nights in Rio might feel short, but if you have a limited time available, let’s make it a time well spent! Lush green hills, charming coastline, and beautiful warm people is Rio in a Nutshell.

Our package is comprised of a 3 day/ 2 night at a 3, 4 or 5 star hotel in the south zone of Rio, right in the heart of the city, where you are close to restaurants, the beach, the nightlife and the main sights of Rio.

Two tours are included; however, you’ll be given a few options to customize your package and change the tours which are more in synch with your interests. One of our Rio Essentials Collection and one from our Off the Beaten Path Collection.

Rio Essentials Tour:

- Sugar Loaf City Tour and Cable Car.
or
- Corcovado with Christ Redeemer Statue.
or
- Rainforest Jeep Tour.

Off the Beaten Path:

- Petrópolis – The Imperial City.
or
- Rio de Janeiro Favela Tour.
or
- Guanabara Bay.

During your stay you will enjoy a selection of our best tours and will be given time to explore on your own. Our Local Expert Guides will let you know all about the best options in the city for you to make the most of your trip.

Below an brief description of each tour:

Sugar Loaf City Tour and Cable Car takes you on a panoramic city tour with a stop at the metropolitan cathedral and then off to Urca, from where you will get on the Cable Car to Urca Hill and Sugar Loaf to catch breath-taking views of the City.

Corcovado with Christ Redeemer Statue tour, takes you on a train ride through the Tijuca Rainforest up the Corcovado Mountain. At the top you’ll be at the feet of the Iconic Statue elected as one of the new seven wonders of the World.

Rainforest Jeep Tour will take you on an open top Jeep in a journey through one of the biggest urban forests in the world – the Tijuca Rainforest. This lush jungle is home to hundreds of species of plants and wildlife. The drive is exciting but the places we stop at are even more thrilling. We will take a 30 minute hike the trails under the canopy and interact with this amazing ecosystem as well as take gorgeous pictures from the Chinese View.

Petrópolis – The Imperial City. See the mountainous city of Petrópolis where the Royal Family used to spend their summers. There you’ll be able to visit the Imperial Palace, the Cathedral and the cobbled streets that will take you back in time.

Rio de Janeiro Favela Tour – See up close how is like to live in a Favela. But not just any Favela – You’ll see the biggest favela in Latin America. All the little streets and stairs, which will take you to see some wonderful views which a lot of people in Rio never had a chance to see. There you will learn that people there have a tighter sense of community and that they have an unique view of city - Both literally and figuratively

Guanabara Bay – See for yourself that Rio is also wonderful from Sea. You’ll cruise on the bay that was crucial on giving the city its name. on January 1st 1502 The Portuguese arrived in Rio through it and thought it was a river – hence the name – Rio de Janeiro (River of January). From there you’ll catch lovely views from the south Zone, Sugar Loaf and Christ the Redeemer Statue.
First Day:
Our Guide will meet you at the airport for your private transfer to your hotel in the South Zone.
You’ll will sort out your schedule with your guide and purchase other tours if you want to add something else to your package.

Second Day: You will be doing one of our incredible Rio Essentials Tours and see the “must see” of Rio and will be allowed to explore on yourself.

Third Day: You will enjoy one of our off the beaten path tours and see a different part of Rio or the State that is less known but still thrilling and worth the visit. Then a Trip to the Airport and see you soon!

That is Rio in a Nutshell. Hopefully you’ll have more time when you come again.
