Itinerary
Florianópolis, known in Brazil as the "Island of Magic," is a true paradise for surfers and beach lovers. With its breathtaking coastline, the island is considered one of the best places to relax, reconnect with nature, and embrace the vibrant local culture. Beyond its stunning beaches, Floripa also boasts a rich history, making it a fascinating destination for all types of travelers.
With over 40 gorgeous beaches, Florianópolis offers much more than just sun and surf. Our tour begins in the historical center, where you’ll find the charming yellow Metropolitan Cathedral, a beautiful and iconic landmark.
One of our key stops is the city's most important square, Praça Novembro XV (15th of November Square), named after the day Brazil became a republic. Here, you'll admire the imposing Palace Cruz e Souza, now home to the Santa Catarina Historical Museum. The palace has played a significant role in Brazil's history, hosting both Brazilian emperors during their visits and serving as a focal point of the 1891 federalist revolution.
Another historical highlight is the Ponte Hercílio Luz, named after the Governor of Santa Catarina. This visually striking bridge was the first to connect the island to the mainland, becoming one of the city's most recognizable landmarks.
Of course, no visit to Floripa would be complete without exploring its natural wonders. One of our stops is Lagoa da Conceição, a picturesque lagoon surrounded by lush landscapes and historic buildings dating back to the island’s early colonization. From the Lagoa da Conceição Belvedere, you'll enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the lagoon and the Morro das Sete Voltas.
Next, we’ll take a scenic drive down Avenida das Rendeiras, arriving at the famous Joaquina Beach. Known for its incredible waves, this beach hosts both national and world surfing championships, making it a must-visit for sports enthusiasts.
Leaving Joaquina, we head to Barra da Lagoa, where you'll have free time to enjoy lunch (not included) and soak in the laid-back atmosphere of this charming fishing village.
Finally, we return to your hotels, bringing an unforgettable journey through Florianópolis to a close.
