Itinerary
Pico da Tijuca, the highest peak in Rio de Janeiro at 1,022 meters (3,353 feet), is nestled in the heart of the Tijuca Forest and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city.
Before starting the hike, we’ll make a stop at the entrance of the Tijuca National Park to admire a majestic waterfall, a perfect introduction to the lush surroundings. The trail begins at the scenic Bom Retiro and takes approximately one and a half hours to reach the summit.
From the top, the views are simply stunning! You’ll take in iconic landmarks of the Tijuca Forest, the legendary Maracanã and Engenhão stadiums, the sparkling waters of Guanabara Bay, and many other spectacular sights.
